removing cpu

ok so i am trying to remove CPU FROM YM MOBO AND PUT IN ANOTHER ONE. I have tried to simply pull it out from the sides and it doesnt come out, what do i do to get it out. yes, the retention bar is raised

lol try pulling up the lever

lift the lever on the side of the processor, then gently lift the processor up.

um i said that the bar is raised, and i cant gently pull it up it doesnt comeout

try to raise and lower the lever gently several times.

Try prying it out with something. It could be stuck in there with the thermal paste or something, in which case you could pry it out.

how would it be thermal paste, the themal paste goes on top of the cpu between it and the heatsink not under in the socket. I tried to pry it out with an xacto and it chipped the edge, not good
