Dual core 7900GTXs

It seems Nvidia has something up their sleave to counter the X1900's brute force, Can you imagaine the power of a Quad SLI setup with 7900GTX? Sheeesh! I think we all can agree that Quad 7900s is overkill.

Thats not dual core. That's having two chips on one card. Dual core is having both chips in one chip. Also, you have to remember, the fastest PCIe motherboards go up to 32x, and with each video card, that is cut in half, and the two chips count as two video cards, so 32/8 = 4. Each chip would only get 4x of bandwidth, on on a traditional board that only has one x16 lane, it would be 2x per chip.

I never said they were both on one die now did I? Dual core means just that, two cores.

Yea a dual core proccessor is that, notice proccessor isn't plural so that does mean two cores on one chip. I can see why he thought that though.

I wonder how much heat that it will generate, it will probably be hotter then Quad 7800 512MB because there is only two heatsinks.

YES I TOTALLY AGREE, then that would clear up this whole "Quad SLI" Garbage....Thats why I love the x1900xtx, its just one juiced up card that can beat anything....for now..
