graphics card for plasma tv

I dont know crap about resolutions n stuff when it comes to actual tvs. My boss wants a good graphics card that will make his image look better on his 42" HD plasma. If the tv only has a resolution of 1024x768... why would a higher end graphics card make it look better? he just wants letters to not be as blurry. But i mean,, if you display on a tv, it will be blurry no matter what card you get right? I dont see how buying a high end graphics card would really do anything.

a better graphics card will not make a difference other than allowing you to run higher settings in games and at higher frame rates. is he using vga for the tv to gfx card connection?

Matrox are built for correct color but are very slow in comparison to Nvidia and ATI. (and expensive)

Yes, but you don't need speed for stuff those cards are used for.
