compatibility?

ok im new to these forums and to building comps all together. well i think that i have been catching on pretty quick, but i have one question. Wats the easiest way to find compatible components for the whole comp

i would start with the cpu, ram and video card. then find a motherboard that supports all of them.

just read the specs of the board, and fine what it uses

Buy the motherboard first. Then by a cpu with that same socket. Then buy ram that the mobo supports and then a videocard,cd drive,HDD, etc.
