I would ditch the soudn card and get a better case, keyboard and mouse with the money.

Drop the case, PSU, and sound card.

That case comes with an awesome PSU, and it is Antec.

Go with onboard sound for now.

Take the extra you have and get either a better monitor, or a laser mouse (as I assume you'll be gaming).

Yeah I didn't think a nice keyboard and mouse was a big deal but now that I finally stopped being cheap and bought some good ones I wont go back. Its a Logitech G5 mouse and a ZBoard btw.

On board sound is usually plenty, and a good case helps with the build, looks and cooling so dont go cheap. Cooler master and Thermaltake both make great cases for pretty cheap. I got the Thermaltake Saprano and love it.
