amd s:am2 vs s:939

ive read in toms hardware that s:am2 will not outperform s:939 using ddr2 667 but when am2 chips will be using ddr2 800 it will be a different story does anyone know more about this?

Bus speeds and latencies will eventually become better. DDR2 @ 800 should outperform DDR400 on stock speeds/timings, but I don't know how well they overclock. Anybody?

i disagree with this but i suppose most people round here already know that lol . i think that AMD architecture relies very lowly on memory bandwidth so really it won't matter how high you push DDR2 clock speeds you will not see much of a performance boost.

Yes, the latencies should become better, though. I am sure AMD has more knowledge about memory than any people from Tomshardware.
