Disappearing Mouse

Hey,
Every time I boot up my computer, my mouse is working fine but then freezes in place yet i can still highlight things like the Start Menu button and use it like a regular mouyse but I cannot see what I am doing. If anyone knows if this is some sort of virus or how to solve this please let me know

what happens in safe mode? uninstall it in safe mode and then reboot and let windows reinstall it
