LCD monitor

well i think i am going to buy a 27'' LCD tv or monitor whatever you want to call it, but im not sure, my budget is round 800 usd
but my question is what should i look for before i buy it? things like contrast ratio and all that stuff?

if you are buying a TV for you computer, the quality wont be very good you know.

not sure where you will get a 27" monitor for $800. but you can get a 24" from Dell close to that. if you are getting it for gaming...look to the response time...i think for most games 12ms and under is safe...if you play some first person shooters tho, you'll probably see just a little ghosting with 12ms.

Rule of thumb:

the lower the responce time, the better
the higher the contrast ratio, the better
the higher the brightness, the better

A good responce time is 8ms or lower, a cr of 500 (min), a brightness of 250 (min).

well its not for gamming its for tv and my MCE and just to have for anything, its going to replace my conventional tv

Get a Panasonic or Sony HDTV Plasma. 27" wont cost that much. For LCDs go for what AND_YOU_ARE said.

that is a nice one, nice ratio and the see from anywhere in the room features is pretty cool nice resolution and response time, imma have to cinser and possibly go bigger after seeing the price/size possiblities, hopefully find an awsome deal.

since you guys are reading this, any you have a tattoo?
my question about a tattoo is when you get it and build muscle after does it mess up the tat?
