I want to overclock alot but I dont plan on OC'ing the 6800 becuase thats just the card thats going to get me thru till the G80..I want to OC my 4400+ to 2.6 maybe 2.8. I know Im going to need a really good CPU fan so if you could show me a good one I would appreaciate it.

Questions.

1. Is the ram I chose good for OC'ing or is there better...

2. is the PSU I chosen powerfull enough?

3. I have windows XP Home, is Pro worth the money? and since I have home can I use it on this system since I used it on my other one.

4.Finally any one know where I can get some cool neon lights:D

Thanks

First of all, that case owns. Second, ditch the 4400+ and get an opteron 165, then with the money you save, get a 150gb raptor instead. The optical drive is really up to you. Just get one by a good brand (Liteon, plextor, etc...). And make sure it supports dual layer dvds. The video card is fine, but the power supply is a little overkill. If I were you I would get the 520w version instead. Or better yet, get a silverstone zeus st52f instead. They are better quality than the OCZ's (I've owned both of them). That RAM is good.

ok :) Hey thanks for the help but I have one more question....is the DFI expert board really hard to get the bios right? I heard some people say it takes forever and you have to make sure they are all right...dunno if I should just get the Ultra-D but that has only 2 PCI slots..hmm

hmm im not sure on the DFI expert question but a few months back over at XS forums, the dfi expert was killing some cpu's. something ith the motherboard and it will pump too much voltage into the cpu. but i think dfi has fixed this problem but id check into it just incase. i doubt you can make a bios "right". the only time you have ot mess with your bios oc'ing and if you mess up thats what clear CMOS is there for.

Ok becuase I want to overclock the Opty to at least 2.6 maybe 2.8 :)

OC'ing isnt that hard is it...... :/
