i've done my research.. i made sure i was doing something that saved me money

you've been underestimating ur 6800 gs's.. they or no mere 6800 series... considering its low price.. only bein 180-200 dollars now on new egg now

Not to mention how well the 680GS's overclock...

yes... the 6800's overclock like a beast... i hit 500/1200 and it ran like gravy.. well... nice anyway....

oh wow.. i just noticed you hit 540/1220.. or something like that... dear jesus... how did you get that high.. is that stock cooling??? i start getting artifacts with 510/1200...

Stock cooling but with 2 120mm fans blowing on it, I backed it down to 535/1200 thoguh because i started getting some artifacting after I played CoD2 for a couple hours.

But I was able to run 3dmark05 great with it on 540/1220 and got a score of 6310.

Yep. 2 x 6800GS > 1 x 7800GTX.

1 7800GTX is a worse buy than 2 SLI'd 6800GSs, so take your SLI bashing somewhere else.

we can talk about the conversation on the two 6800 gs I PERSONALY don't think sli is worth if becuase you will be paying an extra houndred USD which is better then the 7800 but it still costs more, it is all about how much u can afford and how much you wanna show off. as for me I will hope to wait for a physx card and get a regular 6800 gt or gs....
