512ddr Vs 1024ddr

Main question is...is there a big difference between these 2 sizes of ram. I am mostly going to be playing video games and typing suff for skool.

In fairness, you will hardly ever notice the difference, but with operating systems (XP!!!) using more and more of the core memory, and the current low cost of DDR, I would go for the 2*512 if you can.

On a side note, I would rather have 256 Meg of a good low latency Corsair ram than 512 Meg of some nasty generic species.

well i think kingston hyperx is pretty good.

Yes, OCZ, Corsair and Kingston, plus some of the latest Kingmax products are all acceptable.

2 sticks of 512? how much would that cost for reasonable quality?

for me it cost 300 from kingston hyper x...pc 3200 400 ddr.
