PCI vs. AGP

i am wondering what is better PCI or AGP video cards?

i am not sure if my motherboard supports AGP so i might only be able to get PCI....

if that is the case ...do u think its better to get a new mobo and video card or jsut get a new PCI video carD???

whats the difference between the PCI and AGP cards?

AGP is much better. I would get a new motherboard with an AGP slot if possible.

if i had a 128mb geforce 4 PCI would it be able to run most games?

it wuld be able to run games but not great. AGP kicks PCI ass NEDAY.

an ideal and good all around vid card is the 9600xt. Preferably the 256mb one. Although its not the best one. It is one of the best. That wuld be ur best choice.

AGP is much faster than PCI. I don't remember the specific numbers but the AGP slot is meant only to hold graphics cards. And high end graphics card dont come in versions that fit into PCI slots. For example, I never seen a GeForce4 Ti made for PCI slots but the GeForce4 MX which is the low end budget version does come in PCI versions.

this is off topic but the WORST EVER processor Intel made was the CELERON. Talk about fukn waste of time making it. What was their purpose in making it, they did know they were makign a p4 eh.

a PCI video card will suit you just fine if all you need is a low-end card for gaming. most of the AGP bandwidth goes unsued by most video card anyways. don't sweat it, here are the PCI cards you can use:
