win98 se dns problem....

in your mind,with your opinion,you think it is a dns question.
but i dont think so.i am not sure that.i am sure that it is not a dns question.BUt it is a networking question of course .

i have ever helped me and my neighbours to build adsl LAN.i all along maintenance this adsl LAN.i often settle networking questions about adsl lan.Maybe your question is that you can access other machine and mapping other machine drives from your mahcine.BUT other machines cant access your machine.And Cant ping your machine from other machines.RIght???

Maybe you have installed fire wall in your machine?!!

Nope no firewall. But it seems as if it was the tcp/ip stack so in reality sort of a dns question. I tried uninstall and reinstall of tcp etc but no good and no good rebuilding winsock either so finally did format and reinstall and all good now.

Tcp/ip seemed to have become so corrupted it didn't work at all. Now it's all good thanks.
