Build Request

Well I know this is my first post but this is the question I need to ask.

Can anyone, using newegg, build a computer under $1500 incoperating the 7800gt and 2gb of ram?

Yes. The Rig in my sig cost me about $1600, but if you get what is in my sig you should be fine. It would probably cost you a little under $1400 cuz i got some extra things (new CPU heatsink, "good" overclocking RAM). Plus prices have gone down since I bought it. The HDD is like $15 cheaper, CPU is $10 less, 7800gt is like $80 less

2GB G.Skill RAM
evga 7800gt
Antec Truepower 550W PSU
WD 250GB SATA II 16MB cache HDD
etc.

Ok now heres a stupid question could I take my current harddrive and move everything to a new one then wipe out the old one and make the new one the main harddrive?

Also could I get a more detailed build?

yes, its called drive imaging. or if you mean just tranfer all your data minus windows and programs i would suggest "dividing" the hdd into partitions, copying all your files to a large storage partition and leaving a smaller partition for windows and programs to be installed to

hrmmm when i first put my compaq hard drive into this computer it loaded exactly the same as before, only it didnt have some drivers for the mobo.. it still had windows and everything.. but over course i reformated it anyway.. i didnt want all that compaq crap on it
