Last good known configuration

I had a problem with my integrated network card driver. I have finally installed it.
How can i store this "good configuration", in case my computer gets messed up. if i restore it to this "good configuration" will i have the good installed network driver.

Last night, my computer messed up, and when i rebooted, it gave me the option to restore to the last known good configuration. when i did that, i found there was no network card installed. i had to fight with my pc to get it installed again.

My network card is an integrated Intel Pro/1000 CT.

If you are running XP, go start -> Help & Support -> Restore my system (or something similar) -> Create a restore point.

To restore to that backup, follow the same steps but click -> Restore my system instead of create a restore point.

if my network card gets uninstalled again. and if i then restore back to my last known good configuration, will my network driver be installed.
