It's a maxtor. It's $#!+ regardless what motherboard you put on it.

Use a seagate. 5 Year Manufacturer's Warranty on all drives.

yes, Seagate make some of the best hard drives out. but if not Seagate, then WD are good also.

i'm echoing here but Seagate or Western Digital. there hdd's are both high quality although each does have some negative points (not compared to maxtor but compared to each other). seeing as you're in the US i suppose Seagate is probably a better option because i hear they are cheaper over there. here it is the reverse

WD are good. However WD still wants the end user to put the drive up the dealer channel for RMA in this country.

Oh I do have a HDD related question though...What is faster? 2x 160GB 8MB cache HDDs in RAID-0 or 1 320GB 16MB cache HDD?
