Is SoundBlaster better than Nforce4(DFI lanparty UT-D) onboard?

I just got a Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit for $5 and was wondering whether or not the audio will be better than the onboard audio for DFI Lanparty UT-D? Or whether or not it will increase my gaming performance?

Im pretty sure that it is better but not 100% but im pretty **** sure cause its not onboard and it is 24-bit cause i think onboard is only 16-bit.

but im not sure.

Yes it's better. I think a retail sound blaster live card sells for 24 USD now-a-days.

A real SB Live! is somewhat better than the integrated on an NF4. They're built using pretty similar technology, which was huge when original Nforce first came out. Your SB Live! should give you better sound plus it won't be sucking up cpu cycles like your onboard is doing.
