Comp Restarts when I Start a Video

Hey,
Everytime I start a video file up, my computer restarts. Whether its an mpg, avi.....whatever... my computer launches the player I choose for that type of file, then proceeds to restart itself. Anyone ahve any ideas on whats going on? Also, after startup, windows says that it has recovered from a device driver error. I've never had this happen before, so I'm guessing its my video card and not a program thats causing this problem. I'm running an ATI 9550 with the newest drivers and such. Any help would be great.

Could be a virus. Make sure you have up to date virus scan and run it. Also, make sure you try multiple players for each file.
