HELP!!!! Java script problems.

Right then you clever lot try this one, cant open links on web pages, am told this is a java script problem as copying the link into the url works. Have checked security options etc to no avail. Did have kazaa on pc but uninstalled and have run adwear and virus stinger etc. Sombody pls help before i smoke myself to death in front of my pc. Thanks lots for any ideas. oh and i'm using windows xp.

also try installing the latest version of java

There are three different "script" settings in I.E. -- set them all to "enable" and that should work. I know you said you checked your security settings, but you didn't say which, so just in case...
