need help urgently, vista

right 1st of all my laptop was running fine when using vista, about 10 days into using it, i turn on my computer, login then i get the blue screen or death. everytime i turned on my cimputer it come up, so i decide to boot the recovery system and typed FIXBOOT and chose my HDD ( C: ). it rebooted now all it shows is a black screen with a white bar across the bottom.

can someone please help, im trying to keep my dad from finding out about it.

Vista is in fact Vista a beta OS you will run into bugs. Restore a released MS product and see if it works or do a fresh install of Vista.
