Don't make a fool of yourself. Intel owns like 83% of the marketshare.

i will buy intel if it offers a better alternative than AMD but shall remain an AMD loyalist at heart. obviously you would want to build a pc with whats available but i shall always love AMD. AMD is like "the little engine that could"

I've been a supporter of AMD since before all of you. AMD was allways one of my favorite companys since before it was cool or popular. Now I can't afford to own stock in that company.

That's OK, cuz now i own a 1% share in VIA Technologies!

I have a intel P4 HT @ 3.4 ghz (it does matter)
It runs bf2 with my 6800gs (16 pipes) fine.... i dont understand y u guys complain.. they both get the job done and they both process, but one is slightly better than the other.. just get the cheaper one and be happy......

VIA stock, ouch. i don't think that was a good choice because i don't think VIA is going to stick around.

well not in the CPU market.
they have been descent for making chipsets for AMD systems. although Nvidia does out-do them with their Nforce chipsets

my point exactly. VIA was a good company and still is fairly decent but i don't think they can compete for much longer. they have been virtually completely pushed out of the processor market and now it looks like their chipsets are going to be pushed out as well. it's a pity because i've always been a secret fan of VIA, yet another of Intel's underdogs
