Hi all,
I have 2 files I downloaded for use on other computers. These **** things seem to have installed on MY computer and are running in the background, (or so it says when I try to delete the **** things)!

I don't know what to do to disable them so they can be deleted.

One file is FJDT which is a Fujitsu hdd diagnostic tool. The other is called Cdtpgdos. I don't remember what that was for at all.

I run XP Service Pak 2

Thanks in advance for any help!

:D

Thanks for the response.

I disabled everything in MSCONFIG. I rebooted in safe mode. Tryed to delete, no go.

It keeps saying they are in use by other programs. I don't get it. Also, in the system path, it lists "autoexe.nt"? NT? If these are DOS programs, why are they listed with "autoexe.nt" in their path?

I tried copying the system path>used search> then delete the entry that showed up. It didn't work either. I thought it did, but it re-appeared when I re-booted. (Cdtpgdos)

I never was able to do anything with FJDT.

Am I screwing something up here? I wouldn't think this would be this hard. I'm feeling a little dumb.

Sure appreciate the help though........THX
