Hey guys,
I just recently got an ND-3550A and am trying to rip one of my DVDs. Unfortunately, I am only getting a read speed of between 4,800 KB/s and 5,600 KB/s with Nero 7. The drive is a 16x DVD reader. What kind of speeds should I be getting with this thing? Why doesn't that seem fast enough? Shouldn't I be getting like 21,600 KB/s peak?
I have heard of drives slowing down when they read DVDs so that you won't hear them running. If that is the case with my drive, how can I turn it off?
