The best performance would probably come from the RAID 0 with the 10K RPM drives

The 10K drives are faster than the 7200RPM ones.

Thats the main point that should be made here its soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better to just build your own.

first of all you can get AMD CPU's and you can overclock, its cheaper, you're also either getting 2 7800GTX's in sli when its cheaper to just get a X1900XT and it will perform better (or just wait till mid march when the 7900's are supposted to come out) or you're getting the one with a 6800GT which will last you about another year and a half but games are advancing faster than video cards are, The dell cases look crappy, you would be going with intel dual core when a 4400 X2 is a beter CPU cause intel's memory divider is in the north bridge and not on the CPU (or at leasts thats what i've heard).

and the one biggest thing...................... you dont get the joy of building your own custom machine!

But do what ever you want and dont listen to 99.9% of the forum members on weather or not to buy a dell.

Definitly build a computer. There are several advantages to doing so.

1) CHEAPER

2) You get total control over what goes into your machine

3) Its a fun and satisfying experience

4) If you have two hands and a Phillips screwdriver, you can do it
