Buying new video card?

Hello all first off thanks

I am in the process of buying a new card and I am wondering which card is best!

First of read my sig so you know what is going on
I know I should upgrade my PC but I am trying to servive you know
I have found multiple cards but my max price is $200 CAD
remember I have and AGP 4X Board

All these cards say they are 4X compatible but one is GDDR3 and my main concern is am I compatible with that
do I need certain ram?
Also should I get the gt's for 128 megs or the 256 megs

I vote for the eVGA 6600GT. It's a great GPU and the extra 128mb of ram just isn't a factor in anything except for price. The ram that the card carries shouldn't effect the compatibility at all. The ram doesn't have a lot to do with the other components in the computer. It just talks to the graphics core.

I hear I should get the XFX version can you tell me anything different between the two

Well, I have no personal experience with XFX. I've heard nothing but mixed reviews, which is usually not a good sign. On the flip side, I buy nothing but eVGA cards and have never had one break or come dead on arrival. The cards are amazing! I won't buy anything but eVGA.

Same here, e-VGA is awsome. Get the 6600GT e-VGA for sure.

You should definitely go with the 9600 XT, it's the only decent card you named.
