Got my 2.66P4 up to 3.14 ghz and still stable!

You can go up a bit more, but wait until you get the AS5 to really start pushing it.

Oh **** sorry, then yea you can go up a bit more. Kepp it under 60 on full load.

AHHHHH darn, it pooped out after 8 1/2 hours of testing on 3.22GHz

could i still run it at that and be ok??? or should i run it back down to 3.14GHz? or should i up the volts?

I had a question about running them stress tests all night, if it gets to hot it will shut off right? i dont wana go to sleep and wake up to a dead pc lol

yea it'll most likely shut down. either that or freeze up...

is it bad to have it freeze and stay like that for hours? I'm just scared to run the program all night, but then again i want to because i want see how stable my current OCing is at, and see if i can push it some more.

if you're so scared, just check your mobo to see if it has a thermal shutdown utility. if not, wait until a weekend or do a very intesive test, for a couple of hours before.
