Some clarification

Quick question, and I can't seem to find the answer.

With duel core CPU's, if most games do not support the second core, what does that core do while in the game? And will it mean that the game will treat the CPU as being a single core running at 2.2 GHz (in the case of, lets say, the AMD X2 4400)?

Just wondering!

well, with duel cores...they are usually too busy fighting each other...

one of the cores on the DUAL core processor with run the game while the other core on the DUAL core processor runs background programs of the sort. DUAL core processors will shine when they begin making DUAL threaded applications.
