Current Spec:

AMD Athlon 2500+ o/cd to 3200+
Abit NF7 v2 mobo
512mb Geil RAM
XFX nVidia 6600GT
80GB & 40GB Maxtor Drives
Pioneer DVD Writer
15" CRT Monitor

What upgrades should I make? I'm only 16 and in college so i cant afford top end stuff.

I mainly use my PC for browsing the internet, playing music, doing college work and of course gaming.

Thanks in advance

theres not really a budget, all im saying is that im looking at mid range stuff because I cant afford top end.

Of coarse this a BUDGET pc and no its not top of the line.I Have built a Comp with most of the parts about 8 months ago and there still running strong. You could use the case you have right and Optical drives and HDDs and GFX card.

Here u Go:
Case:

Comes with a 500watt PSU and a slanted oval screen with three fan slots(two side&one back all 80mm)Its looks better than the one shown.

Mobo:

Very good Quaility!! I've had about all of the "Top of the MOBO" but man for the price you cant beat it trust me.Has OCing potential in BIOS.Just Take off the Intergrated GFX'S and your good to go.

CPU:

Lets just say this is the best CPU for the price.Man this thing rocks.
1ghzFSB 512k L2 way better than your "OCed 2500"
Also some of this would be good.

Ram:

Pretty Good for the price.Just put this is Dual _ Channel with your Geil and your good to go.

About $307

Only 16 and in college . I have a friend who is 16 and in college, he's pretty smart, but not that much more than me and my friends (we're the nerds :D), just he's the only one who tried to get into college early.

Back on topic: We really need to know what it is you want. A complete overhaul? A cheap upgrade? Are you into hardcore gaming? If you don't mind low settings, you could get away with that with 512MB more RAM and a bigger monitor.
How much $$$ are you willing to put into this. I would't put too much money into your current rig, only some cheap RAM or a new monitor which can be used in a future machine.
