Also, nearly no one games on laptops, so their components don't need to be OC'd, tweaked or of high high quality.
Are you serious? Tons of ppl game on laptops! There are tons of people on notebook forums doing pin-mods for faster CPUs and upgrading to 7800 video cards.

Laptops are pretty easy to mod. At least, my Dell i9300 is very easy to get into and upgrade if I wanted. I just recently tore it apart to put in some AS5.

Can you build me a laptop with at least an Athlong 3700+, 80Gb 7200RPM HD, 1 gig of PC3200 memory, and a mobile 6800 or 7800 for less than $1500? $2000?

Yea jorsoft, that is $1300, for just a mobile 9700 and 1 gig of value memory. The HD is also only 5400RPM. It would come in at around $1800 for the same comp with at least a 6800 or 7800 and higher quality memory.

I'm not really sure what you're deal is, but if you actually look at the website you'd see that you can upgrade the cpu, ram, and hd to all of the things you said earlier and its costs about $1400. Besides, I said "close enough", because a 9700 isn't that far from a 6800 and it was just an example, sheeeesh...
