Not booting

My computer will not boot... but the light on the motherboard signalling power is still on.... wtf is wrong it?

oh, man, it can be any number of things. Did you plug in the 4 pin power connector too?

Yesiree... everything that should be plugged in is plugged in...

unplug EVERYTHING. all the power / IDE and plug in JUST THe PS into the MOBO and see if u can get it to boot. oh make sure u leave monitor plugged into the back.

Thanks guys for all your help... I found out what the problem was though... The mobo fried oh well... its under warrenty... to bad they will take the bad one... i want to keep the p4

STOP RIGHT NOW... I HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM!!!!

turns out it was my psu.. it was faulty and in 3 months fried 4 mobos and 6 sticks of ram... put in a new psu and it works fine.. switch out psu's if you can

yeah.... you guys are amazing... it was actualy the psu... did you guys have dells? good thing we dint get a new mobo
