Id say go for the 6800GS. Good card, good price, and save some money over the 7800.

6800GS but you probly already left by now... its not worth it if your going to upgrade memory/cpu in future to go with the 7800gt although its worth the money...

I bet you've already gotten the card, and you've made a good decision no matter which you choose.
If you plan on getting one down the road, get the 6600GT. It can play high settings on games such as HL2/CS:Source, high/medium on BF2, and medium on FEAR (without soft shadows)

The 6800GS can play the above pretty much all on high

Both are great cards and will tide you over until the g80 series.

Got the 6800GT. Got it for a flippin' sweet price! So it was pretty worth it. Can't wait to get the rest of the components this weekend.

you got a 6800 GT? you should have got the GS. it performs about the same and is less expensive.
how much did you get it for anyway?

I got it for $250. They had no GS's in stock, anyway i got the GT cheaper than the GS so I guess it worked out well.
