Lookin for a good TV Tuner

as the title says, i'm lookin for a good PCI tv tuner. i would like to have a remote and be able to record tv when the computer is off (if possible)
I found this one

i dont want to spend too much on it, probably less than 70 or 80. Suggestions or comments would help

i don't believe you can record with the computer off if you are useing a pci tv tuner..

maybe look into external ones for that...

I got this and it does pretty well... definately a good price/performance

well... actually that one in the link is different than mine... hmmm... mines max res is 768x512 or something like that (dvd) and it has more buttons on the controler... I think that is one model below mine... and I can't seem to find mine... oh well...

on newegg it says time schedule to preset recording time of TV show. does the computer have to be on for that to work?

I believe so... my card can be schedualed to record as well, but the pc has to be on...

*becuase it is recording to the hard drive

ok, u think the card i choose is a good card or should i look for a different one? i didnt really look at urs that much yet.

I couldn't say, as I have know experience with that card...

the reviews seem to say it's a good card though...

ok well i have time to look at others too, when i searched newegg then sorted so the highest rankin was first, the KWorld tuners were the top like 7 or 8 so i think i might go with kworld. i'll probably check tigerdirect and pricewatch but newegg is my main choice.

yea thanks for the suggestions and clearin up the recordin feature i would have been mad when it didnt record lost while i was gone.

the computer can be set to turn on to record but to actually record it must be turned on. leadtek make good tuners.
