is my vid card dead?

i just bought a 500 watt power supply. i put in my 5600 nvidia geforce 128mb video card in agp slot. i turn pc on and nothing. it wont boot up. i dont got the dvi to VGA adapter. i have a vga monitor and the 2 connectors on the vid are DVI. and the red led light just stays on. i take card out it boots just fine.

replug everything. Reset your BIOS. Turn it on, if its not working, it sounds like another case of a faulty power supply.

not powersupply, cuz its working FINE.

How can you tell its working fine? Try switching in another one. My PSU looked like it was working perfectly fine but it was actually broken.

i put it into another computer the vid card, like i said i dont got the stupid dvi to vga adapter so i gotta go by sound. the computer boots i hear beep beep beeep then the pc loads then the pc shuts down...?
