boot but no video!

I just put in my new evga nvidia geforce 6800 gs 256mb pci-e video card in along with my new mobo and new cpu (all in my sig) but when I boot my screen shows nothing but blackness, there are no beeps and the fans do turn on. I think it might be my RAM... my motherboard is supposed to have pc3200 ram but all I have is pc2700. Any ideas?
