Well again a new thread. But now it is $1750 budget. If you did't see my other threads I am building my first PC. It is gonna be a gaming rig that has to last me a while without upgrading. Do not include a moniter, mouse, keyboard, speakers, or optical drive, I have those from my last computer. Lastly I am only buying from newegg, no exceptions. So here is the list, I will keep it updated as I make revisions.

Specs

Revision 4

Case - 119.99
NZXT Lexa

Processor - 325.00

Total Price (Inclu. ship.) - $1696.13

Revision 1 Edits
There is nothing there yet because I am not sure what to do with $1750.

Revision 2 Edits
Added everything.

Revision 3
The more I thought about it the more worried I got. I did not want to build my PC only to have the PSU not be good enough. SO I cut back on some stuff and got a good PSU.

Edit 4
some minor tweaks.

Hard Drive - How big do you need it? 80GB? 200GB? 2*200GB?? defintely sata II or 150
_________________________________________________

Video Card - eVGA 7800GT why waste money for the GTX
_________________________________________________

RAM - 2GB's im assuming your overclocking so G.SKill or OCZ ram
_________________________________________________

Processor - Dual core is the way to go. I would go with the OPty 170

OS - 99.99
Windows XP
_________________________________________________

Other Asorted Goodies - AS5, TT bigtyphoon or CNPS9500, couple of case fans, maybe a VF-700cu for your GPU. Maybe some CC

That should roughly come out to less then 2000

Very nice, if you wanted the case from your last thread you could get that one, i have it and i like it alot.

I also heard that AM2 wont come out till Q3 so unless you want to wait till then......

The Soprano is a terrible case, with cheap plastics on the front, and no front air intake for the front fan. It is a terrible case in short. The Tsunami is a better choice if you like the look of the soprano. The case is your choice though, pick one to your taste.

I would go for one of the opterons 165 and above. Definatly go dual core for that.

Wait a month or 2, then build it. G80 Series and AM2 Mobos will come in handy in the future. You might want to consider getting a PPU also, i suspect they are going to be a req in future games.

(I know no one likes the power supplies that comes with the case but I have heard good things about this one. It is a 500W with 26a on the 12v so how bad could it be)

Added everthing.

PPU? I am quessing that that is the new physics card. What interface do those have. I could always add one later when they are needed.

If you guys havn't realized I get very impacient (SP?) when you don't respond instantaneously. JK. But really help me out. Do you see anythinf that could be better or any compatibilit issues.

it's impatient. But anyways, I heard Sapphire's the best for ATI video cards. Don't know if it goes that high-end though.... Also, with an XTX, I don't know fi the PSU will work. The case, in my opinion, is too expensive too. Otherwise, it's nice.
