celeron question

This is especially the case in Intel processors. They rely on the cache WAY more than the Athlons. The reason they have more cache is because they don't have as much memory bandwidth as the Athlons and have to make up for it in big chunks of cache. When you take most of this away (Celeron), you have some real problems when the computer needs memory on the fly.

oi dont dis Sempron, gotta say im really impressed by it^^
Anyway if u got a Socket 478 just get a Pentium 4 3.0Ghz Extreme... very cheap these days shuldnt be more than 170$.
 
i wasn't intentionally badmouthing sempron although i suppose it definitely seems that way. what i meant by that is that the sempron and celeron are both stripped down versions of their big brothers athlon and pentium respectively. the difference is the celeron is just straight out crippled but the sempron has some "legs" to it so to speak
