Help please!

Hi guys looking for some help IT related....

i have just built a computer for my mates parents, all seemed ok, installed Win XP Pro, office 2000 etc, found the wormblast virus on there and got that removed but recently tried to install a all-in-one printer/scanner/copier seemed ok but when you put in a memory card from a camera into the printer to transfer the images the computer losses all power!! thought this was something to do with the printer software, but it now seems to be the case of when trying to install or unistall anything! which makes me believe it is something to do with the harddive/memory??? any ideas??????? (i also had this problem when trying to "save changes" in the Bios!!!

Could this be a PSU problem?

Have you tryed a diffrent plug board cause that could be a simple answer. Had same prob with scanner and solved it

the all in one thing isnt a Lexmark Zxx is it?
