what does this mean about the BIOS!

DId you recently change out the MBD or HDD? Sounds to me like you have an old gateway/dell type disk. The o/s is tied to a special number in the bios, and/or sometimes on the HDD controller chip. If they sent you an upgrade disk, it maybe an older one. Essentially, it is trying to check the bios to ensure it is in fact a dell/gateway/correct system. This can happen if you've flashed ever flashed the bios. They need to send you a disk that is NOT locked to the bios.
 
Is this a system disk from another system? Say you have a dell in the house, and are installing it to another system. It may not work if an older restore cd.
