i bought an alienware.. the hardware setup is
motherboard has 4 SATA Port and two IDE (Primary and Secondary)
I got one 250gb sata harddrive connected to 1 SATA Port
and a dvd writer on my primary IDE connector..
unfortunately they hid my primary IDE connector on the back of my alienware case so the wires are neatly hidden together, and now i cant use my Primary IDE SLAVE for my 250gb ATA/100 hard drive...
this is a simple question,
it is ok if i use the Secondary IDE Master for my harddrive? i dont want to touch my Primary IDE... will it decrease performance? its is for video and audio storage... and im a file server on irc.
