I've been having a few problems with a Dell. About every two weeks or so it blue-screens and 'recovers from serious errors.' Here's an example:
Code:
STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0xBF9FA975, 0xf016084c, 0x000000000)

Ialmrnt5.dll – Address BF9FA975 base at BF9E10000, Datestamp 00000000)

Beginning dump of physical memory.
Physical memory dump complete.

This computer has had issues before, and I've had to reformat before these types of errors started to occur. Any ideas?

A quick Google search found that Ialmrnt5.dll is:

Intel Corporation - Controller Hub for Intel Graphics Driver

Dynamic Link

prehaps you should update the driver, someone else may shed a better light on the problem.

dxdiag didn't bring up any errors. I tried updating those drivers, so we'll see how long it can go before it crashes again, but hopefully that helps.

Thanks

have you considered the problem might be that your gpu is overclocked?

Maybe Im wrong but I dont think this is his pc he is talking about

2.53 GHz P4 Processor
Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Pro-G Mobo
512 MB 266MHz DDR RAM (to be upgraded)
120 GB Western Digital HDD
BFG GeForce 5700 LE 256 MB AGP (Overclocked)
FSP AX400-PN 400W PSU
Ubuntu Linux (5.10)

No, I am having this problem with a Dell, not the system in my sig. The one in my sig isn't overclocked, either.
