nope...look it up. In order for a sound to double the source must be raised to the tenth power...its physics man. GET SOME...

Yea that is not true at all. There is actually a very large equation to find out the decibel level.

Maybe you should go back to algebra because something raised to the tenth power is that number multiplied by itself 10 times. So 10 to the tenth power would be 10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10 which equals 10,000,000,000.

So don't tell me to learn physics when you don't know math.

ooops you were right. Its not raised to the 10th. Very late night post. sorry. the equation is....
Intensity level (dB) = 10 log10 ( I /10 to -12)

so...lets solve this little puzzle once and for all!

65dB = 10log(Intensity / (10 to (-12))
I = (10 to (65/10)) x (10 to (-12))
I1 = 3.16 x 10 to (-6)

Now...how many fans do we need to equal a jet engine @ 250dB?

250db = 10log(Intensity TOTAL / (10 to (-12))
I2 = 10 to (250/10)) x (10 to (-12)
I = 1 x 10 to (13)

SO... Intensity total / Intensity of 1 fan = Total fans

1x10 to (13) / 3.16x10 to (-6) = hahaha...3x10 to (18) fans!!! thats like a bajillion...

12000 CFM is = to that of a big fog machine...

Oh well

Lets just get 100 fans together and see what happens!

Sorry I had to get off =(

Also, anyone have spare motorcycle exhausts?
