I recently aquired a second hand computer from a friend, with an XP pro OS. It started of its life with NT, then to 2k, and now to its present state of XP.

Anyway, during the boot process, i get the message "press F1 for windows 2000"

Even although i've changed the HDD and reinstalled XP, i continue to get this message during the boot process. So, i'm guessing its something to do with the mother board, but can't for the life of me get rid of this pesky message, or find any information that will help me to.

This is my first post on these forums, in the hope that their vast knowledge might help me out with this niggley annoyance.

Thanks in advance :)

This is what the boot.ini file looks like at the moment with XP Pro.

Works just fine if i don't press F1 lol
