case temps and pci fans?

i have a stock sony vaio that i bought a year and a half ago.... i was thinking about overclocking it. it has a 1.7ghz p4 in it, stock cooling. the mobo is an asus P4B-LX and im almost positive it has a way to tell me case temps but i havent figured out how. is there any free software i could get to find the temps? also, if i start overclocking what do i need? i was thinking about buying a set of fans.... i heard there are fans that work in an empty pci slot? any ideas on where i could get sum? also, what kind of software do i need to start over clocking and what should i set my limit to? i was thinkin 2.0ghz but i dont wanna fry the processor

Yes, Asus has software that works for Asus boards. Go to their website and download probe. Here is a list of downloads for your motherboard. http://www.asus.com/support/download/item.aspx?ModelName=P4B-LX&Type=Utilities&SLanguage=en-us I hope you find that probe program. If it's not in their I'm sure you can find it on the internet.
