help with hd error

okay i took xp off using kill disc and then when i got to reload xp i get a error that a certian file needs to be reloaded, it wont install xp. what should i do? thanks

Go into bio's and set your boot device priorities to CD drive first.
Insert xp cd
Press space bar when it asks you to
Xp will load up some temp files
--> then you install xp again

yeah, iam not that dumb. it was a faulty disc. thanks for your help though.
