x1800 reboot problem

Good evening all,

This is my first post so thanks to everyone who takes the time to look.

Here is the issue i am having:

I have installed a new motherboard and graphics card(ati x1800) into my friends PC, along with a 600w power supply. Everytime windows xp boots up, it gets to the logon screen and then reboots itself.

I have tried booting in safe mode and this is fine, and all of the drivers seem to be ok.

I am completely baffled by this

any ideas would be appreciated

bad PSU. it might be 600W, but the voltage on the rails probably blows chunks. go no newegg and get a OCZ modstream, powerstream, or Antec Trupower PSU.

If that doesn't fix it, reformat.
