"We stopped shipping that DLL due to intractable issues found with Windows Explorer. This was the cause of issues such as files appearing locked and not being able to be moved, renamed or deleted without areboot"

They are saying if you had photoshop 7 and upgraded to CS2, it works but if you uninstall it, it removes the .dll or if you never had the prior version installed in the first place, its not there. There is a patch but the first one I found, the link is dead...Im still lookin

I DO have a copy of Photoshop 7. I wonder if I uninstalled CS / reinstalled 7 and then go back again if that would help. But I don't remember getting thumbnails or previews, even in version 7.

OK... I downloaded the file and saved it where you said to, but it's still only showing a photoshop icon... no thumbnail or preview. I guess we need the reg entry.

I think I got it:

Download this file to a temporary folder.

Shut down all Adobe programs.

Set a Â’system return pointÂ’ to allow you to rollback the changes should anything go wrong (if your system supports it).

Unzip it to ‘C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Shell’.

You could quite likely already have either of the DLL files. No matter.

Run ‘aiicon.dll.reg’ by double clicking it.

Run ‘psicon.dll.reg’ by double clicking it.

That should do it
