Hey everyone, the 7800GS AGP IS OUT!!!! Good times, I'll wait for the price to go down slightly then I shall snatch that thing up. Anyone else planning on getting this?

We'll see where they all land this summer. That'll help me decide whether I'll be getting the 6800GS, 7800GS, or 7800GT.

There is a BFG one in the UK for £235 - the same as the BFG 7800gt right now.

There is also a 7300GS coming out for £50 - this will confuse the Noobs - XFX GeForce 7300 GS 512MB DDR2 in the title and in the text: - Supports upto 512MB memory (1GB System memory required for 512MB function)

Yah, the 7300gs is worthless though. I know the 7800GT is more powerful, and cheaper, but for an AGP user it is cheaper for them to get this instead of upgrading to PCI Express. Personally I'm very excited about this card, I'm looking at the eVGA one right now on their site.

I paid less for my 7800gt than that, and the gt is more powerful. :/

Yes, but there is no 7800GT for AGP.

AGP: 6600GT ($150), 6800GS ($200), 7800GS ($350)

PCI-e: 660GT ($150), 6800 ($175), 6800GS ($200), 6800GT ($250), 7800GT ($300), 7800GTX ($450)

So you see, the 7800GS can sell for that high of a price, mainly because there is no other option available in the AGP flavour. It is said to beat the 6800U in performance when stock, and most likely the X850XTXPE as well. If not, when OC'd it would for sure. It's very unlikely there will be another card released for AGP that is weaker in performance than the 7800GS, because there is the 6600GT and 6800GS to cover that gap. AGP still longs for a $250-$300 card though :-\.
