Dvd playback is slow.

Hi everyone.. I have been using VLC media player for my dvds.. and everything was fine until yesterday.. every discs i play.. it plays in a motion like the playback is so slow.. FIRMWARE IS UPDATED.. I tried re-installing the vlc same thing..
To add it had happened before.. but after the fresh installation of xp it started working fine for weeks now..
NOW the same **** problem is occouring again.. Any ideas??

first, what is the speed of your dvd player? maybe you have over-used it.

second, download interactual dvd player. google it. it is made by cyberlink, and its free.

DVD Writer is 16x16,Double layer 4X...
and i like VLC better if it worked before then it should now.. also i have not played anything in a long time.

i have removed all the converters i installed.. but i still believe there is a codec conflicting.. Could it be reason?

talldude123 you are not really reading and understanding.. if i wanted CODECS Why would i want to ask here? for google link? geez.. no offense.. but anyone else there could help me with my problem?
