Graphic Card Upgrade ( need advice )

My brother is buying a new graphic card, hes upgrading from a PCI-e x700 Pro, he wants to spend around 150-225 (before shipping). Anything that would be a upgrade in performance, he is planing on buying it from newegg or tigerdirect, unless a better deal is some where else. he is giving me his x700 pro to save me some cash so i said i would ask on here to get the best card in the price range.


He has a AMD 3400+ 2.4ghz
He likes ATI but will work with anything if its better
Don't have to be SLI / x-fire ready ( he only has 1 pci-e slot )
hes buying it this Friday
please make the price before any mail in rebates
His fav games are Battlefield 2, World of warcraft, Half life 2
it would be a + if it could be overclocked but stock is fine

You cant always expect an instant response....

The best card for that range is the 6800GS, AGP or PCI-ex. That card has great overclocking potential.

evga 6800gs 425/1000 clock speeds, can oc it of course, i switched from 6600gt and went from 3200 to 4950 in 3Dmark05. $185 dollar card.
