The only thing is this. I dont want to change my videocard, dvd burner, or HDD because i just bought it like a month ago. What should i buy next for my gamign rig to make it better?

Well, you could start by buying another 512MB RAM. Also, I've heard Raidmax psus aren't the best. You could buy a new psu?

Agreed. Get more ram, for 1 gb total. U do realize that system has limitations and other than that i wouldnt "upgrade" anything further...

Can your motherboard support PC3200 RAM? If it can You should get a gig of valueselect RAM and get rid of the PC2700. If it doesnt, get another 512 anyway. But yeah, dont put too much $$ into it.

Should i just get out of the socket A, and just make the jump to socket 939? I could buy a mid tower case since all the good mobos are in ATX and my case is micro ATX. In this rosewill one people say that the powersuplly is good and it last them a long time.

that would come out to like 60 with everything. Then i could get this motherboard that i was looking at it's a gigabyte and it has an nf3 chipset. Also it has agp for my recenlty purchased asus 6600.

that is like around $130 so i could just save up another 15. Then later i could get an athlon 64 3200 ro an an opteron 144 since they are around the same price.

So do you guys think i should do something like this or what? because from what you guys are saying it seem like you dot want me to spend too much on the socket A so should i just start buying stuff for 939 now?

hey newcement, this si kind of off topic but, in your sig i noticed you have an antec super lanboy. How did you get it for only $30? Is that in U.S dollars? It retails for like around $80.

I would save up and get to a socket 939 platform and an althon based processor. Leave your system the way it is now and build on that $115 you have.

ok i got it this is what i am going to buy and it is going to wokt out perfect i think. I will buy an other 512mb stick of ram but in pc3200 for when i go s939. This way it will give me 1gig for my setup now and i will hve pc3200 ram for later. I like this ram:

Then i will buy a socket 939 motherboard so i cna keep it until i buy a cpu later on. I need it to have an agp slot and this one is the best one for the money because it has nf3 250gb, and agp8x, and 4 ram slots.

I think this is perfect, that way later on when i get around $60 i wil buy this case to fit the mobo becuase my case now is micro ATX.

This way i upgrade the comp i have now by getting a new case and ram, but i also will be buying for the future wiht the ram and mid tower case and mobo. Now i think i got it. I think this is perfect. What do you think?

P.S. the ram and mobo with shipping and tax and everything comes out to $115. That is exactly how much i have. Csll me crazy but I think that is a sign that i should buy it lol jp.:p

But 512 of 3200 RAM now but make sure that it is something that you can upgrade to 1gb worth of later. Then save the rest because when it comes time to upgrade again you are probably going to want a new video card and AGP is becoming a thing of the past.
